Rick Thorne Grinds and Rhymes

Rick Thorne brought his national Grinds and Rhymes Tour to Omaha last night.
Along with the rocking concert they held a skateboard contest. The winner received a year long sponsorship from Famous Clothing Company. 70+ skaters in house. They came from all over the Midwest for this one.
Jordan won it!!! Rick had a nickname for Jordan "Long Hair and Just Don't Care"

Greg is heading back on the road. He leaves for Minneapolis in the morning. Muller from 3rd Lair ask Greg to be one of the judges for the World Famous King of Groms Contest. After the contest he is meeting up with some friends and heading north to go snowboarding. The following week it is off to Florida. Tampa Pro is having a farewell contest/party for the last sesh on the SPoT vert ramp. Next Jacksonville for the Florida Bowl Riders Contest. This 3 day event is getting bigger every year.

Tonight was the last stop on the 1031 Dead of Winter Tour. We are still in Springfield MO. We head back to Omaha while the rest of the team heads back to sunny SoCal. The demo was killer! The crowd was loud and very into it. We are planning to come back this summer.Check out the photo page for some shots from tonight.

Jordan is in Springfield MO waiting for the guys from 1031 to show.
The last demo is at 6pm Sunday. He got to check out the park last night. Big 17000sq.ft. indoor and a huge outdoor. He got to skate the outside part in just a t-shirt. It has been a long cold winter in Omaha so that was sick to be able to skate outside.

New Jersey was great! The owner of the park was super cool. Awesome late night sessions. Drove through NYC on to BK's hometown. One more demo today then we start our journey back west. If you can make the trip head on down to the demo in Springfield.

The 1031 demo team is now in New Jersey. It was a little rough going with all the snow. They regret having to miss the stop at Charm City but Baltimore was in the middle of getting hammered with 2 feet of snow. Oh well it is the 1031 Dead of WINTER Tour.
Everything is good as they made it to Pine Brook NJ (20 mins from NYC).
This park is sure to be a killer demo. They have a huge sick bowl with pool coping as well as very creative looking street spot.
As far as the stops in GA, wow! North GA Skatepark was like staying at Grandma's. Great food and skate sessions till 4 AM.

3 days in the Atlanta area Swift Wheels Shop, Progressive Skatepark big like Atlanta (nice) and tonight North Georgia. Took a quick tour of the ATL checked out MLK museum.
