Camp Woodward 2010

A Day In KC

We pointed the bus south to KC for a great day of skating. Escapist Skate Shop opened up a new location in downtown KC. It is a skate shop/art gallery. They will be featuring some skateboard art in the the upcoming art shows in KC. Check it out if you are in the area on Fridays during the summer. Sean Malto released his new shoe during the Grand opening. Lots of support for Sean in his hometown. Rightly so everyone has nothing but great things to say about Sean. We wish him luck on his new shoe.
The weather was perfect mid seventies and NO WIND! We hit 5 spots and still had a lot more to hit we just ran out of light and energy. KC has a killer skate scene.

Today Jacksonville for The Florida Bowl Riders.Sun is out, park is killer!
Will try and update some photos. This whole event has such a great vibe. Bowl riders are a different breed! Sky, Amelia, Dakota, Sergei, Duane P, Glen C, Benji, Steve R and a slew of other rippers.

Day four has been the best! Sunny and nothing but skating. Next on the agenda a Big Chicken Dinner a swim and do it all over again tomorrow.

We are here! Rain, rain and more rain. Oh well at least it is not snow! Lots to skate indoors. The first bowl that we skated was at the Grinds indoor skatepark in Omaha. The bowl at SPoT was the one that Grinds copied, only the Tampa bowl is bigger. Nice mini ramp and the street course that is going to be the hottest skate spot on the planet today. All the pros form everywhere are here for the Tampa Pro. The vert comp has been moved to Saturday with all the rain. Check back for updates.

Rick Thorne Grinds and Rhymes

Rick Thorne brought his national Grinds and Rhymes Tour to Omaha last night.
Along with the rocking concert they held a skateboard contest. The winner received a year long sponsorship from Famous Clothing Company. 70+ skaters in house. They came from all over the Midwest for this one.
Jordan won it!!! Rick had a nickname for Jordan "Long Hair and Just Don't Care"
Everyone enjoyed the special event. Thanks to Rick Thorne for putting on a great show and thanks to Vinny's for hosting. Check the photos on our link.

Not Home Long

Greg is heading back on the road. He leaves for Minneapolis in the morning. Muller from 3rd Lair ask Greg to be one of the judges for the World Famous King of Groms Contest. After the contest he is meeting up with some friends and heading north to go snowboarding. The following week it is off to Florida. Tampa Pro is having a farewell contest/party for the last sesh on the SPoT vert ramp. Next Jacksonville for the Florida Bowl Riders Contest. This 3 day event is getting bigger every year.

Tonight was the last stop on the 1031 Dead of Winter Tour. We are still in Springfield MO. We head back to Omaha while the rest of the team heads back to sunny SoCal. The demo was killer! The crowd was loud and very into it. We are planning to come back this summer.Check out the photo page for some shots from tonight.

Jordan is in Springfield MO waiting for the guys from 1031 to show.
The last demo is at 6pm Sunday. He got to check out the park last night. Big 17000sq.ft. indoor and a huge outdoor. He got to skate the outside part in just a t-shirt. It has been a long cold winter in Omaha so that was sick to be able to skate outside.
